Purchase Stainless Steel Sleeve Anchors OnlineThe installation of concrete sleeve anchors can be completed in a series of simple steps described below. Sleeve anchors are ideal for a number of uses. These anchors can be used in solid or non-solid concrete, brick, and block. A sleeve anchor works in any depth hole and is designed to support a heavy load. These concrete anchors come in four parts and come pre-assembled for easy use.

1. Drill hole depth 1/2" to 1" deeper than anchor embedment. Select a carbide-tip drill bit with same nominal diameter as anchor body. Clean hole of debris.

2. Set nut flush with top of anchor and drive anchor through material to be anchored into the work surface until nut and washer are snug with material to be attached.

3. Tighten nut until finger tight, then turn 3 to 4 full turns to set the expansion sleeve.

Instructions for Sleeve Anchor Use

Determine the appropriate sleeve anchor length for your project

  1. Add:
    The thickness of material to be fastened
    -to-
    The minimum embedment required
    -to-
    The thickness of the nut and washer (about one anchor diameter).
  2. Once you have determined the appropriate wedge-type-anchor length, drill your hole using a bit with the same diameter, ½” – 1” deeper than the anticipated anchor embedment.
  3. Clean the drilled hole of any debris.
  4. Thread the nut and washer until the nut is flush with the top of the anchor.
  5. Drive anore through the material to be anchored into the work surface until the nut and washer are snug with material to be attached.
  6. Tighten finger completely and then take an additional 3 or 4 turns with the wrench.
